Intended Parents FAQ
How much does a surrogate cost?
Who is eligible to become an intended parent?
Intended parents come from all walks of life, and the heart of eligibility is much more about readiness, stability, and intention than any one specific "type" of person. Married, unmarried, partnered, or single - family structure does not determine eligibility. Surrogacy is a common and affirming path to parenthood for many LGBTQ+ families. Anyone who cannot safely carry a pregnancy or conceive without assistance. Those who have walked through loss and are seeking a safe, supported path to parenthood. Whether fresh or frozen, embryos can be used in a gestational surrogacy journey.
Do you work with single parents and LGBTQ+ families?
At Little Miracles Surrogacy, we proudly support anyone who dreams of growing their family through surrogacy. Love, intention, and the desire to create a safe, nurturing home are what matter most. Every family's story is unique, and we are honored to walk beside all intended parents with the same level of kindness, respect, and dedicated support.
Do intended parents need to live in the U.S.?
Yes, Little Miracles Surrogacy only works with couples in the US because of our capabilities and resources. In addition, we require all intended parents to be US citizens to simplify the legal process.
Can we use our own IVF clinic?
Yes, you can use your own IVF clinic! In fact, the first step for intended parents after screening is to create embryos, and working with an IVF clinic in advance can help that process. However, we also will refer you to a trusted IVF clinic near you if you have not already found one. Little Miracles will coordinate closely with that clinic throughout the process to ensure everything moves smoothly.
How is parentage established after birth?
A pre-birth order is a court order issued before the baby is born that legally establishes the Intended Parents as the child's parents from the moment of birth. It confirms that the Gestational Carrier (and her spouse, if applicable) has no parental rights or obligations, allows the hospital to follow the Intended Parents' wishes at delivery, and ensures their names are placed directly on the birth certificate. Attorneys typically file for the order during the second or third trimester, and once signed by a judge, it provides everyone-Intended Parents, the Surrogate, and the medical team-with clarity, protection, and peace of mind as they prepare for the birth.
