Spring into Happiness and Spread the Mood!

Spring is upon us, and if you live anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon line, I’m sure you are celebrating as thoroughly as I am! Spring is always a time of goal setting! Whether you are a glass half full or a glass half empty kind of person, may change your perspective on this time of year.

Don’t get me wrong, we all have areas of our life we can improve upon, but from my experience, there tends to be a big difference between the people watching the weather for those stray cold days mumbling angriness under their breath, and the people who have already spotted their tulips popping out of the barely thawed soil.

At the risk of sounding increasingly cheesy, I will say those two groups of people could even be equated to April Showers and May flowers.

As the sun begins to shine more frequently on us, and all of our bodies soak in some much-needed vitamin D, think about your mindset and what kind of a person you want to be this spring.

Do you want to be the dark, dreary, rain filled morning, or do you want to be a bright ray of sunshine poking out from behind the clouds, streaming a warm glow of happiness? I think that often times we give ourselves far too little credit for our our ability to impact those around us! Your attitude can often set the mood for your friends and family.

I’m not going to lie, between my work and personal life, there are so many things going on right now. It is not only overwhelming, but stressful, loud, and sometimes downright depressing. Sometimes it is very hard to stay cool, calm, and collected, but I have also recently experienced several scenarios that remind me that my attitude, outlook, and general presence heavily influenced those around me. So this spring, I am making a conscious effort to find the tulips before anyone else. You can bet I'll be pointing them out to my friends so that they can experience the same level of joy and happiness! I am choosing to stay positive and spread the light instead of wallowing in the shaded corner!

I hope that you two will choose to be a source of light for your family and friends and head into the spring with a positive attitude.
